My personal fitness journey begins as a youth soccer player playing in the Ontario provincial leagues. For as long as I can remember my love for the sport has been rabid and that love has continued on today as a supporter and soccer coach for youth clubs in the region. Once my own soccer career had come to an end, another journey had begun. In my early 20s I was looking for new ways to satisfy my hunger as an athlete and found a new home in gyms across the Greater Toronto Area. I quickly developed an appetite for learning skills through many of the disciplines found within a gym. It was through learning and educating myself that I found a love for teaching others how to achieve their fitness goals as well. It is now my goal with the launch of Datcu Fitness Lab to help as many people as I can achieve their fitness goals and infect them with the same passion that I have for fitness and healthy living.
With over a decade of success and experience, I am a fully certified personal trainer with multiple certifications that include fundamental training systems, kettlebell, CrossFit, exercise therapy and nutrition certifications. I understand that adapting new fitness habits is difficult and some times fails, my goal is to make sure that you stay on track with fun and engaging training protocols that offer results so that it becomes a part of your lifestyle. I strongly believe in systems and in following the Datcu Fitness Lab system I can assure you that over time you will look and feel amazing! Its very important to understand that when it comes to anyone's fitness, nutrition is the foundation and main pillar for success. Through many years in my own personal journey I have found that the healthiest and most effective diet for performance has been a whole foods plant based diet. For almost half a decade now I have been eating a whole foods plant based diet and can honestly say I am in the best shape of my life and have never once looked back. In addition to all the scientific benefits of a plant based diet there are of course the ethical and environmental benefits as well. In a world that can be so cruel and harsh, this is one way we can do our part to be kind to other living beings and help reduce our footprint on the planet. I do try to encourage a pre-dominantly plant based diet for anyone looking to form a strong foundation in their fitness journey but am also conscious of everyone's personal situations and will work together with the individual to determine the best options for them.
